Shipped 8 pound package charge for 68 pound package.

I shipped 8 pound package and was just charged for a 68 pound package. Anything I can do, other than bending over and smiling?

What size was the box? And what carrier did you use?

its seems happen in error, i don't think so you can do anything to fix it. in my opinion just sell small size items mostly not cross the size of 12x 12x12 for win win situations, now a days carriers are working like thugs. all the import prices go back to same  point before covid but carriers are only one who are increasing prices and no one there to ask them.

Contact eBay CS and ask them to appeal the charge. Based on your box dimensions, that charge was in error. The only way to appeal FedEx and UPS cost adjustments is through eBay CS.

What size was the box?    Are you sure it was not over size?  Things like a golf club can rack up some serious shipping fees.

Their automated system has been known to charge for shipping a piano my mistake now and then.

I just posted about this too do you have the number to speak with Ebay to dispute the adjustment? I am having a lot of issues talking to a real person. Any info helps thanks!

There's a chat option on this page (type agent in the chat box):

https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10

Or you can send a DM on social media:

ebayforbusiness on facebook, ebayforsellers on insta, askebay on X

Re: Shipped 8 pound package charge for 68 pound package.

Maybe contact the carrier and tell them the problem?

I would contact both the carrier and eBay.  The carrier will confirm the weight and size of the package and relay that info to eBay.  If they don't, at least you will get a answer from the carrier and dispute the charge from eBay.

Re: Shipped 8 pound package charge for 68 pound package.

I have done all the above. So far nothing. I will stop using FedEx ground and go with only USPS. FedEx CS said they could do nothing since it is an Ebay shipping account. Ebay CS said they will dispute it, again so far nothing. I will no longer trust FedEx and UPS and of course I never trust Ebay. If I need to I will make a special trip to FedEx ground if I need drop off in one of their stores. My customers will just have to pay the higher rate at USPS. I cannot afford to pay extra for 31 fictious pounds that FedEx gouged me for.

Hasn't it only been a couple days?

Disputes take a some time to investigate and it's also a Holiday.

How big was the package? It sounds like maybe they charged you for the dimensional weight.
