Anyone ever had this happen:
Purchased during the night. Next day shipped out. The day it was shipped got a return request for same item that night which was automatically approved by ebay.
So it has not even left our state and already a return on same item opened.
Estimated delivery of January 10th and a return deadline of January 7th.

Based on the posts I've seen here, it seems that some buyers have trouble telling the difference between a cancellation and a return.

What is the reason for the return? If SNAD, I would probably accept the return and send them a return label. Perhaps they will miss the return deadline and if so, I would call and get the case closed in my favor.

I've had this happen a couple times. A few years ago I sold a dollhouse for $125. The day after it shipped the buyer sent me a message that she decided to show her daughter a picture of it (a Christmas gift) and her daughter didn't like it. So return requested. I told her "no problem, but you will have to pay the almost $40 it cost to ship it back" (and she would not get refunded the $40 for shipping it there)..As it was a buyer paid remorse return (snad not an option as it had just shipped). She decided to keep it 🙂 I was so glad I didn't include free shipping in the order as I sometimes do (it was quite heavy). That would have hurt.

Good, you accepted the return request. Call eBay after 5 business days to have the return closed in your favor, which will also remove/block your buyer from leaving any feedback.
