What can I do if ship cover insurance is insufficient? I need to ship a package valued at a little over $3000 and ship cover insurance only goes up to $1,000.

nothing you can do. I believe $1000 is the limit on insurance through most carriers.

@dave.odell
Are you using ebay labels?
New label format won't work but if you switch back to classic labels you can use the drop down arrow and select USPS insurance
Appears with their new label they are trying to force use to use the Ship cover by eliminating the USPS insurance.
You can insure for up to $5000.00 or online with USPS

classic label see drop down to select

Thanks. That's the answer I was looking for. I couldn't figure out where the drop down menu for USPS insurance had gone and how to bring it back.

I'm going to say it's yet another coding/design failure in the new label flow, not an intentional change to force use of ShipCover (which might be a violation of their USPS postage reseller contract anyway)
Only USPS services that have included free insurance already (PM and PME) don't have the option to add additional USPS insurance.
Really? Doesn't priority mail free insurance only go up to $50? I'm pretty sure I've bought extra for a small added cost.

Your right It is a bug/glitch or something
it allows us to select USPS for First class but not for PM.
I hope thy get this stuff all worked out before they take away the Classic label !!!
