Setting up to sell for the first time.

Hi.   I have an Ebay account which has been used solely for purchases for many years and I would like to start selling items as well.   To date I have always used Paypal for my payments.    When I view My Ebay -> Account -> Selling the only links I see are "Seller Dashboard" and "Subscriptions".  I was talking to someone I know who is already selling on Ebay and they sent me a pic of the links that they can view including:  "Manage Communications with Buyers", "Subscriptions", "Time Away", "Applications", "Business Policies", "Shipping Preferences" and "Selling Preferences".   I am wondering why I don't see these links as well.   For example I don't seem to be able to set a default on "Exclude Shipping Locations" prior to my first listing and don't understand why.    Any thoughts?   Thanks for your help!

@compcirrus   About 2 years ago eBay started moving Selling accounts in to their Managed Payments system to replace PayPal as the Payment processor since their contract was due to expire.  In order to get paid for your sales you have to register your account with Managed Payments.  The link below will be beneficial to read.  Money will go from Buyers to eBay -Adyen (the new Payment Processor) then directly to your bank account.  money will NOT pass through PayPal.  You can still use PayPal to purchase on eBay but not to accept payments.

eBay will take all the fees at the time of the purchase so you will not have a monthly invoice to pay.

Pay Pal is no longer an option for sellers.

To get paid, you have to sign up for Managed Payments, providing a checking account and the last 4 of your SSN.

You can't use PayPal for accepting payments any more. You have to sign up for eBay's "Managed payments" system. Sounds like you haven't upgraded your account to "seller" yet.  Start here:
