Set Handling Time Poof Gone On Listings

Is anybody else noticing that may have extended Handling times set that their listing are now not showing buyers the set handling time? I did have 4 business days set for all my listing & it was showing that Handling Time in my listings when I viewed them from PC. Today I just noticed that's not the case now. So I thought I'd go with 5 business days handling , ebay even warns in going to set these extended handling times they will be shown to potential buyers, but now I'm noticing that even going out to the 5 business days is still not triggering things so buyers can see extended handling times.  I was wondering why I've started getting more than the usual "when is this going to ship questions, now I know. Showing buyers estimated delivery days as well for example the day after I'd be shipping their item out. This can't be good for business, buyers don't like being given such misleading info or having important info. like a sellers handling time completely withheld!

you could always put a blurb in your description...

personally, anything i sell is with the shipper next day at the latest, except for Saturday sales... i had 2 sell late morning today, by 3pm both were out of my hands...

even so, occasionally i get dinged on shipping time... apparently if they don't have it in their hands the next day it's too slow... i ain't that A company...

eBay shows your average delivery time @purple-rain-store based on your recent deliveries, and ignores any changes you're trying to make to your handling time.

yes, that's what I've been reading here for awhile now.

I think they must divide it or something because most

of my orders for several months now go out right on the 4 days

handling and a few items go out within 2 days(other orders come

in & go out with the stuff that are right at the 4 days handling when going out)

I have to limit my time away from home & the public due to Covid with my son having special needs (high risk) & myself as well being high risk due to Asthma. Typically I only go out into public 2 times per week. But now our area is sky rocketing with cases and the death rates are rising for such a Rural community. So I really need to keep it at only going out in public 1 day per week. So honestly I really need to keep the "5 day handling." I really wish we had USPS pick up here or I wouldn't have to worry. The PO in our very small town closes at noon and isn't full service. So I have to drive to the nearest city to get full service with scanning labels and receipts.

Awesome, customers love that type of service!

Wish I was able to provide that as well! 😉

I checked a couple of your listings, and they are showing an estimated delivery date of Wednesday November 4 for both First Class and Priority Mail. That doesn't make sense with 5-day handling so there's a glitch in eBay's display and/or calculations.

To encourage buyers to have realistic expectations, you probably should put a statement right at the top of your Description section: "Please be patient, I only ship once per week."  If you can specify a day ("I only ship on Mondays") that would be even better.

tried replying to you a few minutes ago, that reply did not post for some odd reason.  I've done that addition in the past to the description area regarding handling. It's a nightmare when bulk edit/exclude won't remove that info when something comes up & one needs to again change handling time. Way too many listings now compared to when that occurred to even risk that again. No way do I want to have to end up going thru over 800+ listings one by one......lol....
