So if postal workers steal sellers envelope with “Ebay’s” label then sellers is fully responsible? Why Ebay doesn’t take any responsibilities? Because all they care is about themselves. If sellers bought label from Ebay and envelope
was stolen according to Ebay’s policy then seller is responsible for refund to
buyer and seller take a loss for the items. Ebay will still pocket our money for the shipping label which was useless because that’s the reason it never got scan and reason why it was stolen. Ebay will get a lawsuit soon and will require to pay millions back to sellers with fees and etc.

The seller IS responsible to get the product to the buyer safely. The seller IS choosing the class of shipping. If you do not like the risks involved with the type of shipping you choose, chose a different class of shipping. Who should take the lose if a package is stolen? the buyer?

"So if postal workers steal sellers envelope with “Ebay’s” label then sellers is fully responsible?"
How do you know that postal employees have been stealing envelopes with eBay labels?
Do postal employees have X-ray vision to see inside the envelopes? How would they know which ones to steal, and which to let through?
And, if you are referring to the eBay Standard Envelope, the contents of those envelopes cannot exceed $20.00 -- so hardly worth stealing, right?
Please provide evidence that postal employees have been stealing envelopes with eBay labels.

The seller is responsible for getting the item to the buyer. And don't be too quick to blame Postal Workers. Ever hear of porch pirates? If something is lost or stolen during the delivery process, that is what insurance is for. Real simple - buy insurance with any carrier or you are rolling the dice every time. Sounds like you rolled the dice like so many sellers do and lost this time. And FYI, eBay will not get sued because you didn't read the fine print or anything else. eBay has a warehouse full of attorneys that have already gone over every scenario. Here's where I say - unfortunately, you have learned the hard way. We all have those days. Good luck.

IF you use tracking, you are fully protected. Also don't assume that the post office stole the envelop. It could be a neighbor or the wind blew the envelop or your buyer is lying to get a refund since there was no tracking that showed delivered.

eBay does not "pocket our money" for a label.
The carrier gets that money, or at least the greatest portion. eBay may get a bit, but whatever deal eBay has with the carriers for a cut............................................. is a secret.

"The post office --- since half the time it's their own employees who are stealing the packages. "
So you are blaming 50% of USPS package theft on postal employees?!?
Once again -- where is the proof that "it's their own employees who are stealing the packages."
You should not make blanket statements without being able to provide substantial evidence -- and, beyond a very few isolated incidents, I see no basis in condemning 630,000 USPS employees.

Are you having problems with ebay standard envelope being delivered or showing a delivery scan? You do know that you can file insurance for those envelopes if they are not delivered?

R-nitrate-r,
I ship on average 15 packages a day with the post office for years and I can count on the fingers of my left how any times they have lost a package.
I think the post office does a very good job for the most part. Unlike, many on these boards I think it is a bargain to ship 15 ounce package for about $5.00 more than a 1,000 miles in 3 to 3 days on average.

It all depends on where you are located and how good the postal employees are. I can say from personal experience that areas like Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles have all kinds of problems with lost, damaged, and stolen mail. Stuff just disappears, never to be seen again. But, you can always fill out a form and complain about it.

I sent a package via USPS on 10/29. On 10/30 and it left Edgewood and was then processed tru Lithicum, Md. Then it was sent back up to Baltimore, Md. on 11/1. The next two scans were 11/4 and 11/5 where the message reads "IN TRANSIT, ARRIVING LATE." Here it is November 23rd and no sign of it. On my own I refunded the buyer yesterday.
I am assuming the post office lost it. Years ago the Baltimore post office's was famous for taking sometimes a month to get mail delivered even a short distance.
Perhaps the other mail is also getting lost. This is the second time I had a problem like this. The first time the package arrived the day after I issued the refund. Wonder if it will happen again.

I have been selling online since 1999, well over 15,000 packages sent. Lost a total of 3, 2 that went to Canada back when there was letter post, and recently a book shipped media mail. So lets just use 15,000 as the base number. So I had a lose rate of .02%. I have had 5 items damaged, so that is .033% damaged. These numbers are just terrible!
The post office is doing a great job considering they delivered 7.6 billion packages in 2021.
