I saw a nice item on Ebay which I really wanted.
However, the seller didn't ship international, but I asked him if he would make an exception for me and he did.
I won the bidding and immediately paid him through PayPal. With the shippingcosts enclosed of course.
After almost 2 weeks I asked him if he would still send the item. He didn't reply.
A few days later I asked him again if he please wanted tot ship the item. He still didn't reply.
Then the next day, without explanation or reply to my questions, he refunded the total amount back to my PayPal account.
I asked him why, and again he didn't reply.
So I gave him negative feedback for not replying and sending the item and closing the deal without telling me.
Immediately I get a very, very, angry email from him, because I gave him negative feedback.
But still no explanation why he ended the deal.
I still want the item, what should I do?

There is nothing you can do, you were refunded and made whole, Ebay cannot force the seller to sell you the item.

Nothing. Just move on.

Hi @maurice_sas, It's unfortunate this happened. Shipping internationally requires more effort than some sellers want to hassle. Maybe the seller looked into it and his original good intention to help you out and ship to the Netherlands soured. You didn't really expect them to still want to deal with you after you left them negative feedback and tanked their percentage to crippling 95.8. You might want to consider offering to change that. They didn't handle the situation well, but what did you expect from a small, occasional seller. Was the item a book on playing the bass? There are thousands of those on eBay. Find one from a more experienced seller who put international shipping in their listing and doesn't have to be convinced to ship to you. Good luck!

I left negative feedback AFTER he refused to answer my emails. I asked him 3 times what was going on and he didn't reply.
He agreed to ship to the Netherlands, it wasn't a problem at all.
If he told me after the bidding that he couldn't send it then we could have had a discussion about it, but he refused to.
The bass book I bought is very rare, I can't find another one.

I also offered him that I will remove the negative feedback if he changes his mind and ships the item.
And I didn't call him names like he did to me.

I thought you stated that the seller wouldn't answer your messages and what you wrote him to remove your comment was feedback extortion which is a policy violation.

The op states the seller did contact the after they left a neg I'm sure that's when the op is referring to the name calling occurring.

You sealed your own deal with negative feedback.

Hi again @maurice_sas, Your question in your original posts was "I still want the item, what should I do?" At this point, all you can do is find the item from another seller. Few things are so rare that they aren't on eBay more than once. Good luck!

If I'm not mistaken, you committed a policy violation, namely, feedback extortion by making that offer.

Statements like that appear to be, or could be interpreted as, a threat or extortion - just so you know.
I suspect the seller will use those statements to get you a "bad buyer" ding with ebay.
Look, it IS frustration when thins don't work out. But as OP has said you can't force a seller to sell or a buyer to buy. When these bad things happen, just learn from it and move on. You got a refund so you aren't out anything than you time & effort.
Good luck!
