Seller sent me wrong item, want to change from exchange to refund

Hey, a seller sent me the wrong item and I just want to switch from returning/switching the item to a full refund. Will cancelling and making a new return request be possible? I want to just get a refund because the seller has negative reviews for this and the specific item I doubt they have. I just don't want to have the seller send a return item with the same problem if they choose to.

you need to file an item not as described case, use the Resolution Center at the bottom of every page.The seller will be responsible for sending you a return label.

You won't be allowed to start a new return-for-refund return request @bfarris78 after your close your current return-for-exchange return request: You only get one return request.

But go ahead and follow the suggestion to file an item not as described case, using the Resolution Center at the bottom of every page, even though you already did that.
