Hi,
I bought an item in June 2017, and it broke down.
Looking at my purchase history the seller shows as no longer registered on ebay, so I cant contact him.
I also cant verify the warranty terms on the item, since ebay is not keeping the copy of the listing page.
Is there anything I or ebay can do?
If not, I guess this was the last time I bought something on ebay which might break and might need seller servicing...

Items sold on eBay rarely are covered by a factory warranty because most eBay sellers are not authorized dealers of the items they sell but rather resellers. Any warranty they offered would have to be through them directly. Since the seller is no longer an eBay seller, it is doubtful that they would honor any warranty.

Unless the seller was an authorized dealer, there probably wasn't a warranty.
Ebay only gives 30 days and Pay Pal gives 180 days to file a complaint. Since it's been almost two years, there's nothing that can be done now.
Very few sellers on Ebay repair the items they sell, and it's usually only done before the item is sold.

Thanks, lesson learned.
Still I would like to see the archive page of the listing details...just for that I wont buy again.

Sorry, but ebay doesn't keep records of transactions that far back. The amount of data it would take to keep records of every transaction over that long of a period would be very prohibitive. You may have some luck looking at the transaction details through Paypal though. They won't have the actual listing, but you'll be able to see all the sellers details and the item title at least.

I keep printouts of all my eBay purchases in an expandable file folder.
I see you've received 64 feedback comments during the almost 13 years you've been a member of eBay. I hope you reconsider your decision not to use the site again for those, on average, five purchases a year.

Alas! There is not much advice I can give regarding eBay's length of storage time. I, personally, keep copies of all my transaction for 7 years. Much to my spouses dismay, I might add. But of course, I'm not eBay.

Thankfully you've spared us the details of it all, knowing we might be tempted to comment on the worthiness of your warranty claim - assuming there was a warranty.
I think the fact you can't find a former eBay seller underscores the correct action taken on your part and best thought of as "self reliance."
Whether or not you decide to remain a revered buyer on eBay or elsewhere, we know you'll now rely on yourself to retain the documentation you once expected others to protect for you.
