I have bought a notebook battery at Jul, 03, 2017.
The battery was kept stored until 1 month ago.
I started to use and with 3 days of usage the battery blew.
OK, I know: there wasn't anymore warranty.
But, I sent a msg to the seller explaining the situation that the battery was not in use.
He replyed fastly and very polite offered a return asking if I want to receive a return label.
He sent the label. I was to USPS, bought a $5 box and shipped.
Since, the didn't answer me and he blocked me to buy any purchase from him.
It's been over a yer and the purchase is not able to start a claim via Ebay tools.
Are there something to be made?
I am ticked off because he accepted the return, sent me the label, I waste time and money doing the shipping and he disappeared.

Why did you pay $5 for a box?

USPS told me that the shipping related to printed label didn't include a cardboard board.
So I have to buy a small cardboard box to proceed with shipping.

Let me try this from another angle....
Could you not find a box at your house or work for free?

If it really has been over a year I don't think there is anything you can do. Sam is right don't spend money on boxes for returns. Learn from this for next time. Sorry it happened.
Sellers can block any buyer at any time for any reason.

I am not sure what you can do I have never had an issue like this but maybe you could call your credit card company? That is the only thing I can think of. I don't think ebay or paypal will help you since it has been so long. Maybe someone else has a better idea. I am sorry this happened to you, OP.

No credit card company will honor a chargeback from 2017. Not for this anyway.

I didn't know for sure. But I have heard that they have done refunds from a long time in some cases. I have never had to deal with this so that is the only thing I could think of to tell him.

Did you expect to get a refund after well over a year? For a battery? I would have blocked you too. But I would never have told you to return it either. I would have sent a polite response expressing regret that there was nothing I could do after all that time, and that would have been the end of it for me.

I'm thinking maybe the seller didn't realize the sale was from 2017 and just agreed to the return without really looking into it. They should have written back to you though. I don't think anything can be done since your buyer protection ended so long ago.

LOL. You tried to buy from the same seller again?
Bravo to this seller for knowing how to block.
