Sellee ignored my request for cancellation

I ordered something I didnt mean to. I cancelled 15 minutes later and sent then a message. Almost a week later they shipped it and sent me a message saying that they are sorry, but it's too late to cancel. Liars. They had days.

That is horrible business practice.

ebay would have sent that message as soon as the seller actually printed the label or marked it as shipped.

Sellers aren't obliged to cancel for your mistake (though most will).

Perhaps in future take more care when ordering?

It is unfortunate that some sellers will not, for one reason or another, give up a sale when they know the buyer doesn't want the item. This causes bad feelings on both sides and makes it much more likely that they are going to have to deal with a return or bad feedback. My advise to you, other than being more careful on what you bid on  here, is to study the MBG (Money Back Guarantee) policy for both buyers and sellers. You need to understand your rights and the process that must be followed if you decide to return the item. Otherwise you'll be burned twice.

Sellers are not required to cancel  a transaction just because you request it

Be more careful when bidding /buying on eBay

As posted some sellers are refusing to cancel -- right or wrong

If you are not sure you want an item put it on your watch list until you are 100% sure you want to purchase that item from that seller.

It can save  a lot of stress later on if you change your mind

I agree not canceling an order and "forcing" a sale is bad business practice.   When a buyer asks for a return the seller is going to lose money.  Apparently your seller isn't smart enough to figure that out?

I mean some buyers commit fraud and send back a rock.  Others file false SNAD cases and get free return shipping.   So a smart seller gladly cancels an order, rather than start with a pizzed off customer.

So  you can return the item and get a full refund.  MBG is you guide to "how to" return the item.

Or you can come back here and ask for help if anything seems off to you.

How did you accidentally pay for the item that you didn't mean to buy?

When a buyer requests cancellation, I oblige them. Why risk an impending Return? But that's just me...
