Second time getting funds taken for underpaid shipping claimed a month 10 days later

Fed ex is now claiming I underpaid for shipping to the tune if $58.00 a month and a half after delivery!!! UPS was to the tune of $132  !!! 

 

Why does eBay just take the word of the shipping companies and take any funds in your eBay account and any sales that you make until the amount is paid before you even have a chance to dispute the claim . 

 

One minute your balance is even then all of sudden it's negative -$56 and you know right away they have already tried to take money from your bank account . The sick feeling I get seeing this knowing things are going to be tough for the next month to three months . 

 

This is allmost the most  unethical thing eBay does to sellers and it needs to stop. The fact that they allow a claim that fat past any delivery date blows my mind because the shipping company knows the minute your item gets to Thier shipping distribution center . It's weighed and measured for the purpose to insure the cargo load on the plane is as precise as possible so it can take off safely.

 

If my item was that far off it's stated weight which it was not , it should be addressed immediately or two days later at best . They should either return the item to the seller or give them an opportunity to either pay the charge or use a different shipping service . 

Now if they chose to not do this then do as the USPS does on occasion, pink slip the buyer informing them Thier item is being helpful untill underpaid shipping is taken care of . This upsets me also especially when the buyer paid shipping and I personally brought it to the post office watched them with and measure it then charge me accordingly .

The fact that eBay does not  even question the shipping company's claim knowing the amount and the time that has passed since the item was delivered tells me they do not care . Sellers are given no benefit or protection in these and non  Delivery claims. Heck if you win any case it was because you fought from the minute you were aware of the claim and took it way passed just dispute and appealing it.

 

I know because I have been there on to many occasions , trusting eBay that they will not take money , I've provided the proper documentation, no worries we will handle it ... Those words send shivers through me because I know they are hollow and mean nothing but after three days you can expect your funds to disappear.!!

 

Getting those funds returned is another nightmare I hope no sellers have to deal with . Especially those like me who rely on every dollar we earn to live get supplies and the inventory we depend on . 

 

eBay gets fees immediately,shipping service gets paid ,buyers refunded and the seller is left with no eBay funds ,minus an item and contemplating ones will to continue selling on eBay.

 

I'm not disparaging eBay or wanting sellers leave the platform . I'm wanting the opposite . I love selling on eBay and my buyers are great. It's easy to use and reaches so many people . I have sold to France ,Italy and just recently Scotland . I've sold items to buyers in all fifty states including Puerto Rico. I want eBay to be the best selling platform out there . 

 

It's the policies that need some serious change especially sellers protections . When claims like this occur the funds should be held until the claim is thoroughly investigated and gone through then ruled in based on the facts. If found to be responsible then take the funds but if not then release them immediately.  Taking them and then saying sry it may take two weeks for you to receive your funds back is not acceptable in the least . 

 

The uneven outcomes of cases for and against sellers is a joke ,it's 99.9 against and 00.1 in favor you may get your money back ,no we can't !! Here have a coupon to spend on eBay . Ya been there also ,four months of in two  weeks ,in two weeks , coupon !!!! 

 

That's just shipping . Non delivery is another major challenge. I will address that next time . 

 

Sellers if you have had the same issues or similar ones we need to get together and build a movement to get the common sense ,fair and just policies out into place that protects all involved.
