Hi,
So, I can clearly see in my paypal that there is only one refund. It seems clear to me that they are trying to scam me and I do not trust this seller whatsoever, as they have been a nightmare what with selling a broken item and claiming it worked even after I provided video of it not working.
They are claiming that they will go to the bank to try to get *their* (my) money back. How should I proceed, other than attempting to file in small claims on them and have them subpoenaed?

I’ve had this situation happen to me and I was under the impression the buyer may have gotten two refunds. Here’s how it happened ( it has to do with ebays terrible IT): the buyer initiated a return for non fit.
The return was automatically processed and the buyer bought the eBay Pitney Bowes return label offered to them. The buyer shipped the item 4/5 days later. I received the item back 3 days afterwards at which point I initiated a refund. Well, PayPal started the process of refunding the buyer via e-check.
Anyway, six days later while the refund is still pending the buyer demands their money back, so they ask eBay to step in despite still being within the e-check refund period (up to 7 days).
Several minutes later I get a generated e-mail stating that since I didn’t refund the buyer in 5 days they stepped in and issued the buyer a refund charged to my credit card. They found in favor of the buyer...etc... I called them up and explained the situation, I was moved to the disputes department and they understood the situation and said the case would be reviewed again and should be overturned. 12 hours later the original e-check payment clears. At which point I am now out over $600, as the refund and charge on my credit card we’re both around $300.
I called eBay again and explained what happened along with some other choice words on their incompetence. A few hours after that I received a generated e-mail stating that they reviewed the case again and once again found in favor of the buyer and offered me no resolve.
It took another several days and many phone calls to finally get the situation resolved. Absolutely disturbing, disgusting and putrid on eBays part to even allow such a process to unfold.
