Ridiculous UPS Charges!! What are my OPTIONS??

So, I shipped a rather large box with UPS to my customer. After weighing and measuring the box, the shipping charges came up to around $223. I only charged the customer around $150, so I was already losing on shipping. I wanted to make sure that I would not be overcharged later, like I had been with Fed Ex a month earlier, so I called and talked to an eBay rep and he told me that UPS will not re-charge after quoting a price. So, after checking on the UPS site to see if the eBay price was correct, I went ahead and purchased the shipment and shipped the item. To my surprise, eBay then charged me a whopping $1,100 a month later for this shipment!!!! So I got totally screwed. I tried to contact eBay a number of ways, and everyone has been stringing me along, saying they opened a UPS dispute, but haven't been able to provide me with a dispute number. And then they just stopped answering my questions altogether. I would never imagine eBay to practice unethical business like this. I understand, now, about the cubic dimensions, but why did I get misquoted in the first place?? Whats the point of the calculator if it will calculate the price incorrectly??? Am thinking about opening a lawsuit if I cannot get any answers soon. Anybody have any advice for me (without being a smart a$$ please)?? Thanks!!

Re: Ridiculous UPS Charges!! What are my OPTIONS??

UPS.com is absolutely dysfunctional and is riddled with errors

Went online on UPS.com to schedule a gift shipment internationally. Should be a simple task as I've done it a lot of times with FedEx and even UPS (once) before. Filled out all the forms online, it gave me an option to pay. First I selected pay with my account, but it won't allow me as it says VAT format incorrect. Of course I am not signed up for VAT as it's a just a gift of no commercial value. Then it says I must add my UPS account to it. I did. But then it says account has already been added. OK, but when it is time to pay it says I m,ust add a new or existing accounty. Does not make any sense. Then I selected to pay with Paypal and it asked for VAT again. Then it said my pick up location invalid (b/s), finally I was able to get rid of that error and went on to pay with Paypal, was transferred to my Paypal account and paid for UPS shipping and then it supposed to return me to a UPS website, bhut instead it just opened a blank page and after waiting, nothing! So I returned to the UPS website to porint the shipping label but my shipping history has NOTHING listed there! How could they erase everything but charge my Paypal for shipping!? This is fraudulent, UPS! Absolute mess and unprofessional. After so many decades they can't come up with a functional website? It's a shame!

UPDATE: I keep on struggling with UPS.com  website and find new and new, more and more absolutely ridiculous errors like this one, after I tried to update my account and add a credit card payment to it:

"We use invoice data to authenticate account ownership and protect your information. Unfortunately, since your account has no associated charges, we are unable to let you edit this information at this time."

More idiocy continues. I went and opened a different browser and typed www.ups.com  and it opened a UPS website all in Arabic... I want to scream and punch the idiot who runs this stupid UPS company. I hope to never have to deal with UPS again! And I thought FedEx was rubbish (I stopped using FedEx a while ago).

More nonsense: Now I tried to edit my phone number and email address and no, IT'S NOT possible either:

"We're sorry, but we're experiencing technical issues. Please refresh your screen or try again later."

Now I am trying to look up my shipping history and I know I had a recent shipment about a ,month ago, so I looked up everything for the past 3 months, but UPS can't do that either:

No activity found for this date range.

We can't see any shipments in the time period selected. Try searching a different date range. You can also find a shipment by tracking number or other reference if available, or go to your UPS My Choice Delivery Planner to find a parcel sent to you.

And take a look at what charges they quote for exactly the same shipment, all data (weight, value etc.) identical: at first they quoted $130 morning delivery and $57 evening delivery (ridiculous, no?), But wait! An hour later they already quote $65 and $53. Then after all these failures on the same day I tried again, and the quotes were: $233 and $220 respectively, same parcel, same weight, same value, same everything. How is this NOT fraudulent? And guess what? I tried yet again, after just 3 minutes and the quotes now are: $337 and $320!!! This company (UPS) can't be serious.
