There is only one specific situation where that is true, and only since 6/23/19. USPS Retail Ground is less expensive than online Parcel Select ONLY for some packages over 1728 in³ with a dimensional weight greater than the actual weight.
In ALL other case online postage through eBay labels (or any other online provider except USPS.com) is less than at the PO counter.
