A buyer needs to return an item because it doesn't fit. Buyer asks me to send him a shipping label. I went to eBay page on returns and it lists a process for buyers to go through and get the label from eBay. What is the most effective way to help my customer with his return? What is eBay's policy on this issue?

What does your listings state regarding 'returns'?
Did buyer open an 'official' return??
If so; what was the reason used??

Doesn't fit isn't a reason for you to refund and loose $ on this transaction. They got it as you described it, this isn't a Walmart return where no $ is lost.

Since you offer Returns, you could ask the buyer to open a Return request. Then... you approve or deny the request. ('Doesn't fit' is a remorse reason, so the buyer will absorb the return shipping cost.) I find that if an item sells once, it will again. Should you choose to accept the Return, reprice the item and relist it for the right buyer. Good luck.

Send the buyer return instructions @redbarnvtg :
1. Find the item in your Purchases. https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase
2. Select Return this item from the menu on the right.
3. Select "doesn't fit" as the reason for the return and enter a comment about why you're returning it.
4. Select Confirm return.
