Returning two separate items in one package?

I bought a wheel hub for $16. Shortly after I realized I should have ordered two. So I messaged the seller and asked if they would sell two for $26. The seller agreed and said to offer $10 for another wheel hub. The offer was accepted and both hubs were shipped in one box.

Now I am returning the wheel hubs because they don't fit like they're supposed to. I had to select return this item for each item and I was instantly provided with two separate return labels.

I don't want to ship them separately as this will cost the seller more $$.

But could I only get refunded for one of the items if the seller claims they only received one item?

Separate question. Do sellers need to void USPS return labels that are not used?
