So I get a frame, its broken, tell the seller and send picture. They send label for return, I drop off at UPS and they issue tracking and ebay has this number. Now ebay denied my refund because seller did not recieve item ? Well UPS had it, I did what Ebay said, but tracking # has no info. So how is that my fault ? Ebay knows UPS has it, so its out of my hands, the seller has the picture of broken item ? Going to file dispute with credit card company now. Ebay dropped the ball I feel.

What does the tracking information say?

If the tracking shows delivered to the seller, eBay will refund you. If it doesn’t show delivered then when was the last tracking update? If it’s lost the seller is still responsible. Have you called customer service yet @bil1024 ? Don’t file with your credit card just yet!

Unless tracking shows the package was delivered back to the seller, they are not required to refund.
What does tracking show?
Did UPS scan the package when you dropped it off.

@bil1024 When did you drop off the package? Have you allowed enough time to go by? Unfortunately if you cannot prove the item was ever handed off to UPS, I am pretty sure ebay won’t make the seller refund you. But thankfully you used a credit card so you do have recourse 🙂

I would call them back and remind them that the party responsible for the lost package is the party who paid for the label and that would be THE SELLER. It’s written in the money back guarantee, you might want to pull it up and have it in front of you when you call so you can recite it to them. but if it has only been a day or 2, then you need to be patient because you haven’t allowed enough time to go by. Refunds aren’t issued when the item is shipped back, they are issued within 6 business days after the tracking shows delivery to the seller.

I did remind them of that ebay garuntee , but they dont accept that. UPS shows that package recieved March 4th. An the ebay garuntee clearly states refunds given if item is broken

If UPS shows they got the package on 3/4 and nothing after, I would go and make sure the package isn't still there somewhere.
