I sold 2 items (video games) to the same buyer with descriptive pictures and when both were delivered they made a claim that one was not in described condition and wanted a refund. I messaged asking to send pictures of the item to see if it was damaged during shipping but no luck. I then issued a refund and provided shipping back because of the case the buyer opened. This was on the 12/11/2019. They buyer must take action with this by 12/18/19 (now a week ago) and still hasn’t. Should I have eBay step in and cancel the return request?

Hey bignate4, eBay does not require a picture for a return but does require the buyer to get an acceptance scan on your return label within 5 business days, absent that you can call eBay to have the case closed in your favor.
However, they can still go to PayPal and open the same case and have 180 days from the purchase date to return the item. Was this a not as described or shipping damage? either way, you handled it correctly as both reasons are your responsibility.
