Return

I bought an item on eBay for $40 free shipping. The item doesn’t work when I got it. The seller was in Colorado. The item came from Indiana. I emailed the seller through eBay message about return. The problem is. I can return it but he’s moved to Portugal. I have to pay shipping which my be almost the price if what I’m returning. I’m not sure what to do. The item was a Fitbit. He wanted me to have a online chat with Fitbit and send him the chat log which I did. He said it worked perfect. He tested it before mailing out.  It was brand new still in sealed package. I don’t want to pay alot of money mailing it back. Any ideas?

Re: Return

You are not responsible for return shipping.

Open a return through your Purchase History.  Choose Item Doesn't Work/Not As Described.

Seller will have to provide you with a refund.  If he wants it back first, he'll have to provide you with a return label too.

Re: Return

It was resolved thanks to eBay stepping in.  I got my money back. I didn’t want it to go that far. Fitbit still doesn’t work but I don’t have to mail it back. . Thanks for the help. I felt stuck
