Return shipping charged if I refund in full, tell buyer to keep item?

I offer free returns so I understand I pay return shipping. But what if I give an immediate full refund and tell buyer to keep the item- am I still charged for a shipping label?

No, you won't.  And sometimes it's easier and cheaper to do that.  Especially if an item is broken.  Just tell them to throw it out or donate it.
