Return request

I have 2 problems that I need help with. (Both have to do with returns.)

The first:

I received a "request a return" from a buyer. I stayed in contact. It's now been over a month since I last heard from them and a case wasn't ever opened. It's now too late for them to open a case, but I messaged them recently asking if they changed their mind and still haven't heard anything. What do I do now? Does this mean I don't have to refund?

Second problem I need help with:

I recently received a "request a return" from a different buyer. The problem is, they've had the item for almost 3 months and now is claiming that it doesn't work. (It did when I shipped.) But they've waited over 2 months to say anything. I replied to their initial message and haven't heard anything since. It's too late for them to make a case on eBay so I'm wondering what exactly I need to expect. I don't want to be charged a bunch of penalties when I'm literally a sitting duck. I check eBay, PayPal, and my email every single day...just waiting to find out what I need to do. Help!

Return request

If they're not opening acrtual returns you can see if the Dispute Console, do nothing.  That includes contacting them.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Return request

Don't keep contacting them to remind them they aren't happy.  If they want to pursue, you will find out.  Leave the ball alone in their court and don't foul--(yeah, I've been watching too much b-ball).

The request for a return that is open does it have a deny option?

Return request

There isn't an actual opened case... I was emailed and then haven't heard anything else.

Thank you! That's a very helpful answer! I just didn't want any surprises later.
