I come here to leave my message since Ebay has stopped responding to my emails sent consecutively. This case To me it is a shame, I alerted from the beginning that the buyer was in bad faith, after the case opened for the return of the item I contacted the buyer to send me his email so that I could do via Paypal the amount of Portes to do the return of the Item to which the Buyer did not allow me, this always informing ebay, I followed all the steps that were given me through the automatic responses since they do not help many in talking to the customers, then put the case in suspense during 5 days to which also I sent to the buyer an email with a photo attach my official address to make the return of the Item, what my astonishment that close the case and also to give the buyer a reason this is shameful, they still inform me after the case closed to contact the buyer, I do not know who are the Srs on Ebay who do the analysis of the cases but this for me can only be a joke.
Since the Beginning I have informed Paypal of this whole Situation and have helped me the best possible. Then I'm tired of asking Ebay for a phone call and talking to someone who has never given me any information. They close the cases and do not want to know more about the customers, who are the ones who pay the commissions due. It is unfortunate this way of acting because I am willing to continue to complain about this whole situation that has already lasted more than 1 month. Shame on Ebay not to contact me as they owe me an answer.

You already received the original payment from your buyer, so you already had your buyer's email address to send money for return shipping:
- Reply to the email saying you received a payment, and look at the email address
- Pretend to refund the payment, and look at the email address
- Find the buyer's email address in your Sold page
You were given instructions to determine how much money to send, and you had 5 days of suspenseful anticipation to prove that you arranged return shipping. It's now 1 month past all the deadlines you should not have allowed to slip away!

False, I followed all the steps that the ebay informed me I did not have the buyer's email this is a Fraud, I sent every day emails to Ebay to inform of everything
What was happening even when Ebay put the case on hold
I returned to send the email to the buyer with address to make the immediate return of the Item, Ebay informed me that as I have in the advertisement that I accept return of the item but the shipping costs will always be borne by the Buyer, then Ebay tells me that I should contact buyer to send me email Paypal for me to be able to make the invoice of mail costs to which the buyer did not want to provide me email This is shameful in addition I have contacted Ebay all these days getting no response from this situation limit if the close cases and nothing, of course I have already claimed Paypal and I will not support this debit in my Paypal account, now I ask why the seller has no chance to defend himself? Why pay fees and commissions? Will I have to go without my Item and still reimburse Paypal? This makes you laugh. As I say I have the evidence in my Ebay emails as I asked the buyer for his Paypal email and to make me return the item. Neither Ebay proposes to provide address or Contact phone to Complain this whole situation, I have already complained to other entities and even Paypal-

Sorry @fgs-149 but that's false, and you are sorely mistaken. eBay clearly says:

As long as a seller makes an effort to cover the cost of the return with their buyer, they are protected if the buyer does not respond to their messages to confirm a return address, share the PayPal account for funds to be sent to, or any other relevant return queries. If a seller does not make an effort to work out return shipping costs, then the case would be closed in the [buyer]'s favor after the 5 day hold on the case is completed.
This just boils down to, "Did the seller fulfill their responsibility to cover the cost of return shipping, or make a reasonable effort to do so?" If the answer is yes, they are protected. If the answer is no, the buyer will be refunded with no return expected.
So if you did everything possible to arrange return shipping, but your buyer died, eBay would bake you a favor after the 5-day hose.

Hi @dare-2046 & @fgs-149, if a seller requests the buyer's PayPal address and the buyer does not provide this, the case should either be closed in the seller's favor or the return authorized with no defect recorded for the seller, and the buyer expected to pay for their own return shipping. From what has been described here, it does seem like the incorrect decision was made. I will take a closer look at this and ensure it is reviewed for appropriate action.

Looks like a similar issue here, but puzzles me. Is it eBay's stance that a buyer MUST have or create a PayPal account in a return situation in order to receive funds for a return label, even if they do not have one (made original purchase via credit card as a guest or otherwise not via a PayPal account)?
In other words, that situation is on the buyer? Not on the seller to have to go to backup plan #2 and physically provide a label?
(it looks like the OP needs help or guidance in that thread also)

Hi @berserkerplanet, the reason that sending PayPal funds is an option we suggest is because we are able to verify PayPal transactions. The seller can also purchase a label and upload it to the return. If neither of these is an option and the buyer is unwilling to create a PayPal account to receive compensation, then the buyer would need to buy the label themselves. If they paid with a credit/debit card through normal checkout, a guest account is created for them in that process and they can register this account to receive funds from the seller. If the seller is in managed payments, no guest PayPal account is created, but the buyer is still able to create an account for the purposes of receiving return shipping compensation. If the buyer has questions or concerns, they are welcome to contact eBay so we can speak with them in more detail.
I will touch base on the thread you have shared to reassure the OP that this is a process we recommend to the seller to cover the cost of return shipping and encourage them to work with their seller.
