Buyer opened a return request stating product does not match description. I did not approve request beause I know the quality of the product I sent. So I believe they are lying just to try and get their money back or they messed up the product themselves and are trying to put it on me. We obviously cannot come to a decision between the 2 of us, so will the case auto close in my favor if the buyer never ask Ebay to step in?

Yes. But it’s better to just accept the return because you will lose if they ask eBay to step in. They also have 180 days to file with PayPal.

If I accpet the refund offering partial refund and I never hear back from the buyer or they reject...where do I go from there?

It will auto close in your favor if the buyer doesn’t accept or decline the partial fund. I think it takes around 30 days to close if nobody takes action.

It will not auto close in your favor if the buyer doesn’t accept or decline the partial fund. Instead, you get to pick one of the other choicesif your buyer declines your partial refund offer.

Did they just request a return or did they file an INAD.

They are one in the same. If the buyer opened a return request, what is the reason they gave for returning the item?INAD stands for item not as described. But again an INAD IS a return request. Everything starts out as a request. The only difference is the party who pays for return shipping and that is determined by the return reason.

The reason was item not as described, but it's **bleep**. The phone I sold had a perfect screen and buyer is saying the screen is messed up and I knowingly sold it with inaccurate description.
