I sold some legos that I bought from best buy and the buyer opened up a return request for item not as described. I sent him a return label to best buy along with a return form. He refuses to reply back to me. I need the legos returned to best buy by 3/13, but the buyer has until 3/18 to ship. He earlier told me that the 3/13 return window is too small. What if he purposely returns the item after 3/13 to try to mess with me? Would I have to refund him along with not getting a refund from best buy?

I am sorry but that is the risk that you take when selling items online. The buyer has a window of time to return the product to you. It is not the buyer's fault that you want to then return it to best buy.
I have heard of this type of system before - where seller's buy the item from a store and list it...if the item does not sell before the return window closes for them to take it back to the store, they end the listing and return it to the store for either their money back or a store credit.
If this was the system that you were using, it looks like this time that strategy did not work out for you. If the item comes back after 3/13, you are stuck with the item. The good news is that you can re-list the item for sale.
Good luck.

Yes, you would need to refund the buyer. The deal with Best Buy is between you and Best Buy and should not involve the buyer.

I sent the buyer a direct return label to best buy's return department. I think he's purposely waiting until after the return window closes to ship it to try to screw me over.

Returns ship back to the address of origin, wherever it shipped out from when the buyer purchased it, that's where it needs to go back to.
If, after you receive the item you wish to return it to Best buy, that is entirely your choice.
