Refunds for "Open Box" items.

I sold a headset as "open box". In the description I specifically stated that "no other testing has been done".

The buyer is saying that it does not work.  What, if any, are my refund obligations?

OPEN BOX-----An item in excellent, new condition with no wear. The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping, or may be in the original packaging but not sealed. The item includes original accessories. The item may be a factory second. See the seller's listing for full details and description.

Once they file an INAD, you'll have to provide return shipping and give a full refund once the item is returned.

Have a great day.

If the buyer has eBay step in and help, they may let them keep the item and a refund as well.

If you sold this item as new or used it  means  that  it must be fully functional/operational and complete.  Don't think eBay has a condition category such as "Open Box" - some times retail stores will  use that term to describe returns or floor models - but they are checked out for functionality.

You  may  have stated that this item was "Open Box" and not tested in your description and you do not take returns.  eBays condition will trump a sellers description every time.  And if the buyers opens an Item Not As Described case you will refund them.  It seldom pays to fight the eBay "city hall"

As another member  stated send the buyer  a return shipping label and fully refund upon receipt.
