Rec'd check from USPS for claim, package was later delivered.

So I have some packages that were sent after Thanksgiving that I had filed claims through the USPS before all the delays were a known issue.  USPS approved and sent me checks for many of the claims which were deposited.  Now the packages are showing as delivered though 3.5 weeks later.  My question is does the USPS send me a bill for the claim checks that they sent me that I deposited?

Anyone can help me understand what I should expect from this situation is greatly appreciated.  I just don't want to unexpectedly down the road receive a bill from USPS for $400 in paid out claims that finally arrived.

Yes, they will expect the money back once they do their audit. They will send to collections if not immediately repaid.

Where's the Holiday Joy ?

Very sad that USPS doesn't  engage in holiday gift giving

Yeah, like they know enough about you to hire a collection agency to chase you.

Do you know if this bill comes via mail / email?  I expected as much but I was uncertain if whether once a claim is closed its a done issue for them or it is something they continue to monitor till delivered.
