If I print out my prepaid ebay shipping label using Ready Post rates, can I mail the item in a plain bubble envelope or do I have to buy a Ready Post bubble envelope?

Ready Post rate ? Do you mean First Class postage?
Ready post envelopes are just a brand of packages that the Post office sells you can use any package you have .

USPS does not have special rates for the Ready Post packaging that they sell at the PO.  Rates for Ready Post are the same as if you were shipping in any ordinary plain box or envelope.

If you purchase an online label for a Priority Mail flat rate envelope, then you must use the specific USPS envelope.
