Random Delays from USPS on priority mail - starting to get angry customers.

I heard that USPS was going to start slowing down mail intentionally ( (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mail-delivery-slower-usps-october-1/>. It's random and it has hit many of my shipments. Is eBay going to start taking this into account when looking at seller ratings?  There is a small list of packages sent since the 17th, and an example of what it says from one of the delayed tracking numbers.

I am wondering the same thing.   A customer bought something using the Global Shipping Program to Australia.   I shipped it this morning before I saw the news that they are suspending shipments.    My buyer is asking me to 'find a different way' to ship the item I no longer have in my possession.   This is going to be a mess that I can tell we (sellers) are going to have to eat.

In my experience, eBay definitely does not make adjustments for sellers individually affected by USPS delays. I've had 160+ INR's in the past 18 months and the only time they offered additional protections for sellers (as a whole) was for a few months at the peak of COVID-19.

Incidentally, as long as you ship within your stated handling time and get on-time carrier scans, your ratings shouldn't be affected. If you have a "very high" rate of INR's, eBay will extend your estimated delivery dates by 5-10 days.

The slow-down is only supposed to affect 40% of First Class  and 7% Periodicals ... not Priority Mail.

What you are seeing is a local problem near you (e.g., worker shortage, equipment breakdown, accident, etc.).
