Questions unanswered on Combined Shipping

Hello,

I am new to this selling thing so I am in need of some help. I have a buyer who purchased two items from me. She asked me about Combined shipping and I found the answer to that. I instructed her but she came back and said that it is still charging her $14 plus so she was charged for each item. Can anyone give me some guidance please? Is there something that I need to do on my end?

Please and thank you.

Christian

If you are going to ship those items together you can send her an invoice with the correct shipping cost.

You should be able to do it from one of the items in your my eBay but I don't use that so can't give you exact instructions.

You will want to figure out the shipping cost first as it might not be less expensive to ship everything together.  I rarely ship anything fragile but based on what I've read you should use an inner box for each piece with bubble wrap etc and make sure that you have about an inch on each side of the box so that the item isn't touching the box. Then that box should be put inside another box.   As I said, I'm not an expert so you might want to search on how best to ship crystal.

Questions unanswered on Combined Shipping

I have free domestic shipping and I charge for International Shipping.

I usually just issue a refund for combined shipping to a buyer.

Just go into one item and hit refund and combined shipping.

Sometimes a buyer can ask for a total on combined shipping from their shopping cart...and sometimes not.

This is why I went to free domestic shipping. That .40 eBay fee is not refunded to the buyer for separate purchases.

Note: make sure you add the tracking of both items separately...tracking needs to go on eachitem and not as a package of two. Otherwise, buyer can say they going got one item.

Happy selling!

I meant to say 'that .40 eBay fee is not refunded to the seller".

@chriol11

If your buyer has already paid for both items, you can easily refund the excess portion of the shipping charges back to your buyer.

First -- determine how much you wish to refund.

Then go to your "Orders" screen, and click on one of the items that your buyer has purchased.  You will see a small blue rectangle, with a downward pointing arrow.

Click on the arrow, and scroll down to "Send refund."

Click on that, and follow the instructions -- and make sure that you click on the final "Refund" box!

Good luck!

If she hasn't paid yet.  Go to Orders then to Awaiting Payment. There you will find her two items.  Check mark each box next to her items.  Just above Date Sold you will see COMBINE PURCHASES.  Click that and it will show you her user ID then click Next.  That will show you a combined invoice.  Here it will let you enter the shipping charge.  Box your items like your ready to ship and get all your weight and dimensions.  There is a little calculator icon next to the box for shipping.  click that and there will be a form to fill in for your exact dimensions and weight that will give you the shipping amount you need to charge.  Enter that on your Combined Purchase invoice and send it to her.   Just make sure to package everything first so you get correct shipping and don't short change yourself.   Good Luck and Happy Ebaying!
