I sold an item on ebay and always ship within 1 business day. The buyer asked me to wait until Sept. 19th to ship the item (today is the 13th). I hope this doesn't affect my good rating of shipping on time. Should I print out the shipping label today and then simply wait to mail the item on the 19th or wait until the 19th to print the label? Thanks!

printing out the label will not help because the service metrics depend on the SCAN from the PO.
Keep the message from the buyer. When you get hit with the late shipping call E Bay and have them read the message from the buyer. At that time they SHOULD remove it.
Good luck.

Click `Item dispatched' within five days of sale and inform the buyer that you have had to do this but will not dispatch until the date they asked

Thanks, that is what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Actually, later in the day the buyer emailed me and said she had a hold on her USPS mail so I could send the item that way, which is what I intended to do and I did ship it yesterday.

I tell people that if they pay I have to ship within 24 hours. I offer to refund the payment and they can pay when they return.
Most often they just tell us to ship anyway.
CS won't always help much. We've had improper dings that were clearly ebay glitches and we still had to wait for the next month to get our TR status back. Cost us hundreds of dollars in sales.
