As a seller who offered free returns, with automatic approval, do I still need to click "Buy Return Label" or isn't is already approved and available to my buyer? I don't want to end up with two

YES
eBay approves the return but it does not automatically generate a label. You received a notice of the return. Go to the resolution center and click the left side down arrow (says something like "see details"). On that page you have a choice of either having eBay send a label or of sending your own label.
If it is a smaller package that can ship by Priority Mail then just click the eBay send. BUT if it is going to be a heavier item that was originally sent by FedEx or UPS, or by parcel select, then you might want to send the label yourself. A heavy package by Priority Mail may be too expensive.
But if you ignore it you are only buying yourself problems.
