*Can I re-shape these 2 fit the item I need and just pay the rate for the new dimensions and the weight of it?

Question about using USPS Priority boxes

Yes, those are very popular sizes for fitting together to make "frankenboxes."

You do have to be careful when combining the 07's because  they measure 12x12x8 inches, and any box over 1 cubic foot (i.e., 1728 cubic inches)  is subject to a "dimensional weight." For instance, a box that's 12 by 12 by 13 inches will ship at the 12-pound rate (unless of course it weighs more than that).

For Priority Mail packages up to 1 cubic foot, the package dimensions have no effect on the postage rate.  None of the USPS free Priority Mail boxes are over 1 cubic foot, so none of them are subject to dimensional rates, until you start combining them.

There used to be a box that measured 12 by 12 by 15, but it hasn't been offered in years.

Question about using USPS Priority boxes

If boxes are marked large medium or small flat rate do not modify them.

One of your links is a flat rate.

You really should ask the USPS about this.

Question about using USPS Priority boxes

It's only the special or flat rate boxes you can't rework.

The two links go to regular-rate boxes, not flat rate boxes.

Question about using USPS Priority boxes

Make sure you measure the package you design, the numbers on the box are not always right.
