So I bought 3 items shipped together and 2 were bad and 1 was good. I'm keeping the good one and returning the 2 bad ones (not as described). The seller accepted the 2 returns and now ebay gives me the option to print 2 prepaid USPS labels. Can I use 1 label for both items? I don't see the point of making the seller pay double the shipping since both items can be shipped together for the same price. Do I still get protected if I use 1 label for shipping 2 items together?

Only if you have the "Mark as shipped" button, otherwise it's a hassle to "reach out" to eBay (you'd need PPE i.e. hand purifier, face mask, etc.) to enter the same tracking number for the second return, not using its label.
If you do, click "Mark as shipped" and enter the same tracking number, but use "Other" instead* for the carrier. eBay will track the 2 returns as separate tracking numbers, even though they're the same tracking number, and refunds are due on each of the returns when that tracking number shows delivered to the seller.
*Sellers have shared on these boards that they use "Other" as the carrier when they have trouble uploading the same tracking for a second item in a combined shipment.
