Question about processing a return

Hello All!

I am a fairly new seller here on Ebay, although I have been selling elsewhere for a while. Anyways I had a buyer contact me today and ask me if they can return a skirt they bought because it does not fit them. I do not accept returns and this is stated in all my listings. But I did agree to accept the return if they paid to ship the skirt back, which they want to do. How do I go about facilitating this? Do they open a return with ebay, or do I have to do something else to process it? And in the future if I refuse to accept returns for fit issues, can Ebay force to me accept them? I really dont want to be dealing with returns all the time for fit. Thank you for your help!

In order to get your fees back, they will need to open a case. There is a Does Not Fit case option. I'm not sure how it will work, but there should be a partial refund option that will let you deduct the shipping.

The No Returns statement in your future options may or may not protect you. It depends on what kind of case the buyer files.

Question about processing a return

If you have a No Returns policy, that is only for buyer's remorse: Does not fit, doesn't like it, changed mind, found it cheaper elsewhere.  For those reasons you can DECLINE the return.  If you decide to accept the return, the buyer pays return shipping.

If the buyer files Not as Described, you WILL be paying return shipping, as ebay's Money Back Guarantee trumps your no returns policy.  When tracking shows DELIVERED back to you, you will be issuing a full refund.
