Wow, we're actually glad for the EIS program. Have you seen how complicated it is to ship internationally with the new Harmonized System (HS) Code requirements? It's insane to learn all the codes! And now with the possible penalties if you get it wrong. Wow. No thank you. lol
Not trying to be a cheerleader for the site but the EIS is great considering what one has to do if we didn't have EIS. As much as we like to pile on this site for changes, EIS has been a great thing.
My question even though we use EIS, but just to learn, does anyone know what the Harmonized System (HS) Code is for DVD's and/or CD's? Can't seem to find the right code for media and not sure what it falls under? Plastics? Seems like they are trying to petition for DVD's to be excluded from the Harmonized System Code Requirements. Was reading a site that was talking about this. It's such a hot mess right now as its a new thing, again thank God this site has the EIS system.
I do hope this site gets into some sort of 'FBA' style services soon. That would be great and would gladly pay for that type of service for say DVD's or media.

Easy as pie. Go to:
https://www.wcotradetools.org/en/harmonized-system\
enter your product one word at a time (i.e. in your case DVD) and it does all the work for you.
THEN open a notepad document and as you acquire each code for each product you sell write it down. That way next time you have a repeat product do not have to do another search.
Something about mountains and molehills comes to mind.

I have zero interest in learning or using that.
You want to put multiple extra steps into a 2 step process...by all means this sounds like a lovely way to do so.

Seriously? Complicated to ship because of HS? Tons of sites for that. Once you figure it out, you can use it so to speak forever. Also, when I do it myself, I have a guarantee, that I use the correct code. There are nuances. If the code is not correct, the customs may confiscate the item and destroy it. No obligation to return it. I am not saying, ebay does not provide correct codes, but I just prefer to do it myself. Right now they guarantee that they take care of any problems, but this won't last long.

Yea but at least thru EIS they take responsibility if the package has any issues or is lost after it arrives their IL warehouse and then they will refund the buyer not you the seller. So it does have its advantages. But I hear what you're saying.
