Can anyone tell me how I can get proof of USPS insurance purchased here on eBay. Package was about 50 bux to ship. I paid 80 because of the insurance I purchased. specifically picked the USPS insurance and maybe that was not the best thing to do, but here we are. The package was lost and the post office said to file a claim. On eBay's 'help' page about USPS insurance claims they say:
"Each claim must be filed within a certain time period and include proof of insurance, value and damage. Learn more about filing USPS claims."
But they don' t tell me HOW to provide proof of insurance. I can find all kind of details about the sale and payments made, but nothing specifically about the insurance! Please! Can anyone help me with this. Much appreciated!!

The easiest way would be to attach the shipping label you used showing the shipping was insured. I download every label I print because of potential situations like this. I

While i do very much appreciate the response, it doesn't help much in my current situation. It completely baffles me that such basic information is not readily available. And there's no way for me to reprint that shipping label. I'm sure I'll be able to get it somehow. And i hope that someone will chime in with a solution. But this shouldn't be taking me hours to figure out.

I don't use USPS or ShipCover insurance so I will tag out shipping expert to see if they can help.

Are you talking about this?
I'll add that I know I purchased insurance. The package was $52 to ship plus $33.10 for USPS insurance. I paid $85.10 for the shipping label. My issue is that the package is gone. Lost. USPS already told me to file a claim. I'm trying to get all my paperwork together before doing so, and one of the thing USPS sts they want for the claim is proof that insurance was purchased. I'm unable to find that proof from the place that I purchased the insured shipping label, eBay.

Yes. If you do not buy additional insurance with USPS directly you'll see this:
So if you're seeing "Insured" and not seeing the default "Up to $100 insurance included," that means you purchased the additional insurance with USPS, not with ShipCover.
If you need to file a claim you can do that here, and make sure to take a screenshot of the eBay order details page that includes tracking and total $ buyer paid as proof of value.

Thanks. I'll do that when I end up filing for this. Appreciate the reply.

If you purchased the label through ebay, I also believe in the details for that purchase in the seller dashboard, it should mention any additional fees/services purchased there. You may wish to check there also.
