Problems scheduling a pick up on the USPS website.

At the very end of the procedure, the processing bar just keeps "thinking" and never confirms the transaction.  This happens to me maybe 9 out of 10 times. I have to keep trying and trying. I even switch computers. Try it on my laptop.  Try it on my mobile device.  Same thing.

Sometimes i'l get so frustrated that i'll call a friend and have them do it for me. It always works.

Anyone else experiencing that?

@inhawaii,

If where you ship from has a regular carrier, talk to them about arranging a signal for the times you have outgoing packages and a secure place to leave them. Talk to the carrier about the location as well. I use a signal and never have to schedule pick up.  When i had my B&M store I placed a bright orange card in the window. Now I slip a day-glo green sleeve over my mailbox out going flag.  The carrier goes to my weather resistant enclosed place and grabs the packages. I do give her a gift card for Christmas.

If my memory is correct, a similar method was used by the OP but fell apart on them so they are now trying to use the official method.

OP--I have had that only happen a couple times and attributed it to my internet connection.  It always eventually went through.

Howzit mudshark!  Yes, fern is correct.  The only reason i am now scheduling pick ups online is because lately (new mail carrier) my packages have been left behind on my front porch.

Old system that has worked flawlessly for years:  Whenever there were more packages that would fit in my mailbox,   I would leave a bright red laminated placard in my mailbox that said "More packages on the front porch" and the mail carrier would get the rest of the packages from my front porch.  The new carrier totally ignores this placard and drives away with only what was in my mailbox, leaving packages on the front porch.  I might add that my front porch is litterally about 10 feet from the mailbox, not a long way to walk.

New system: Same as the old system except i do the electronic package pick up request.

The new system is ok but i have to get my request in by 10PM Hawaii time and i have LOTS of trouble getting the requests to accept.
