Problem with refund/return

Bought Jacket from a company (96.8 positive rating).

It was stated in their ad that returns were not accepted. Jacket my normal size was way too small, so I requested eBay to return my $40 purchase price.

Then bonanza_star unexpectedly informed  me that it does accept returns.

So I went to UPS to return  jacket, where they laughed and told me it would cost about $80 to return the $40 jacket.

I have since been trying to resolve issue, however:

- eBay does not have any online info concerning this specific issue.

- They have made it 100% impossible to speak with an eBay rep to resolve it.

Any suggestions?

( I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of items from eBay, but am on verge of stopping unless this is satisfactorily resolved.)

@desal2000

Did you open an item not as described case? (Wrong size sent).  If the item is not as described, then you should be opening the appropriate case against the seller.

Items that are not as described are the SELLER'S responsibility to have the item(s) shipped back to them...as in they the seller are responsible for the cost of return.

See if you can open the INAD case.

Re: Problem with refund/return

I'm not sure how you "requested eBay" to return your purchase price, but what you should do NOW is open a Return request citing 'Not As Described'. The eBay buyer's Money Back Guarantee has you covered. Good luck.

Re: Problem with refund/return

Did the jacket fit small for the size ordered or the wrong size was sent from what you ordered? Two different things...with the latter being the seller's fault. If the former, then its a buyer's remorse reason which the seller isn't obligated to accept a return if they have a 'no returns' policy.

Market-wise, note that Chinese/asian manufactured clothing in general tend to fit smaller unless made under the size specifications of a western companies manufacturing in Asia.
