I had a request for a return on a playstation i sold and i accepted it. There was an option to buy a return shipping label from ebay and i clicked on it and i have no clue if the transaction ever went through. It gives me no option to purchase one anymore and I’ve got no clue how to get the return label to the buyer so they can return the item.

YOU don't get the label.
The buyer gets a link to print the label through the Return screen on their end.
When the label is used (Scanned), the tracking in the return will update and give an estimated delivery date (like a sale in reverse)
You will not be charged for the label unless it is used.
You can check the status in the Return screen
