I have an ongoing problem that eBay has not been able to correct for me. I have spoken to several reps and gotten nowhere.
Here is the problem: I can purchase a shipping label in eBay if I do not include any insurance coverage. I can also purchase a shipping label if I include USPS insurance. However, when I try to purchase ShipCover insurance I get a big red banner at the top of the page that says "Something went wrong and we were not able to generate the label".
Has anyone else had this issue? This has been a problem for me going on a year now. 😞

Are you using the app @van9639? There are some known limitations with the app (such as: can't purchase signature confirmation) which are supposed to be fixed at some point in 2022.
If you're using the website, have you checked this page to make sure the labels didn't generate despite the error message saying they didn't?

Thanks for your answer. I am not using the app, I am on my computer. I have checked and the label is not being generated at all. This has been going on a long time. I usually spend half the day trying to talk to ebay about it and then just end up either not purchasing insurance or using USPS insurance instead.

We've had the same problem for 4 months now. Multiple reports to ebay, including again today. No explanation. No solution. We've had more than 60K transaction over 15 years of loyalty to ebay, and spent thousands and thousands of dollars on shipcover with very few claims.
Extremely disappointed.

And still do even today.
On the phone with eBay for 30 mins this AM.
Agent ws kind and tried her best.
Showed her the issue you describe in real time.
Passed on to Digital Tech dept.
Supposed to hear back from her.......

It's good to know I am not the only one here. I have two user ID .
One of the user ID I can't purchase ship cover for over a year and Ebay isn't helpful at all , the only thing they do is send a ticket to IT.
and today my second user ID on Ebay is doing the same. I can get label but the minute I add ship cover insurance it's giving me error message on the top. I think ship cover is blocking us . when you use the ship cover insurance few times a year , I think they are blocking us to purchase insurance from them . Sadly I can't prove this and I need help

Which means you've wasted an enormous amount of money when you should've been self-insuring.

I Found the answer. It's Ship cover that is blocking us . They have replied to me stating
"State Insurance Departments allow insurance companies to Decline to Provide Insurance coverage to any individual or Company based on Loss Experience".
So the Answer is Them and Ebay rep nor the Supervisor is aware of this. In another word if you use them more than few times they will block you.

i feel like this is what is happening. in January of 2021 when the USPS was running behind and no packages were being scanned in philadelphia for over 60 days. i submitted around 10 claims to shipcover for lost items. they paid 3-4of the claims and then i never heard from them on the second batch of them. ever since then i have been unable to buy labels from shipcover. they appear to block anyone who actually uses their service by submitting claims.
