Well 2021 is coming and our USPS yet again raised prices.
Just wondering when it finally is too much?
For me the new increase has eliminated me selling cheap stuff.
And priority mail is getting out of hand.
Got a feeling the increase will make me go back to flea markets and local antique toy collectibles shows.
Ponder this a $1.00 hot wheels car will now cost almost $5.00 to ship 1st class. Ouch!!
So just wondering when is postage gonna eliminate us sellers??? When where is too much?🙊🙉🙈

if you can ship a small item for 1st class you are lucky.that is all I use.2000 packages a year at 5 a piece
I guess they cost me maybe about 4..............I charge $5 for shipping.
low price shipping is on many peoples radar. you can shop total price or whatever it is they say but the bottom line is every one else pays more shiping so your competition is stuck in the same boat
when i cant sell a watch by itself I will sell 2 at a time to make it worthwile
keep on selling

If your buyer is paying shipping cots, then it's less of a concern. I still see the point, but what fool would be going to ebay to buy a $1 toy car plus shipping, they can get locally for just $1?
If they are willing to pay for the shipping, then good for sellers, good for ebay. Otherwise you may want to consider bundling items like that to sell them faster. Make it worth a buyer's while to get several for the shipping expense.

Good question.
For me too much is when the customer stops buying. They will pay for the increase in shipping, not me. I work for a living and I know you and those reading these thread do to.
USPS is going to do what they are going to do.
It was sobering yesterday, on the table was sitting items ready to be ship. The ACTUAL price for the items sold was about $400.
When you added up the fees to eBay, shipping, supplies etc, it came to $599. Now, I am not complaining, it is what it is. The customer paid these fees. I was AMAZED.
For me the question isn't what's to much for me it's what's too much for the customer.
I know I buy ALOT LESS on eBay than I did in the past.
There are many items I have already discontinuing due to weight or size.....
Until the covid, I was attending more shows. It was working out well. We will see what the future holds.
Good luck...

Postal increases have already become too much for some items. There are some larger items that I use to buy for resale that I no longer will purchase. And there are even some smaller items I no longer purchase that weigh over 12 oz that have become unprofitable to ship to the east coast from here on the west coast. And of course every time there is an increase in postal prices then a new set of items falls outside that supply and demand curve which determines whether a widget is worth listing. My problem at the moment is that my favorite non-profit thrift shop is not taking donations so my collection of unsold and unsalable items is piling up.

Due to delays and unacceptable handling of packages by the postal service I have turned to UPS for my shipping. With the price increase of the USPS, UPS is not that much more but it still hits the purse strings for both myself and my customers. I have noticed that since the elections my sales have gone from strong to barely existing. We are all facing scary times right now but I think if we hang in there it will get better.
