Buyer's package arrived at post office and was being held for pickup. When buyer tried to pick up, package couldn't be found. Buyer opened a refund request. How do I handle this and will refund come from Ebay
since it's not my fault?

The refund won't come from eBay.
What exactly does tracking show?
Have you called that post office to find out why the package was lost?
Sellers are responsible to get the item to the buyer so unless tracking shows "Delivered" you will need to refund.
If the package was lost and you purchased insurance you can file a claim with the carrier.
I am not an eBay employee. I'm a US eBay Community Mentor.

eBay will close the case without granting the buyer a refund.
@Anonymous wrote here:in addition to a Delivered status, we consider attempted delivery and notices left for pickup to be delivery confirmation we can use to protect a seller. If a mistake is made in a case decision, we can correct this through an appeal. I will ensure this situation is reviewed for the OP and that the correct action is taken, no problem!
This is between the buyer and their post office.
