Past deadline return label

Long story short, item arrived damaged. Seller has 60 days free returns. I made a mistake by filing the request too early and missed the deadline for return. Seller automatically closed the case. I contacted seller and they still agree to refund when I am able to ship it back.

Can I still use the provided shipping label? Of course I know it is my mistake so I should use my label, but just curious.

The seller is being very gracious and is willing to accept the return back after the case has been closed and you still want to use their label and have them charged?

That doesn't set well with me.   I don't block for honest returns, but if you did that to me, you'd be blocked immediately.

I doubt you have access to the label through the case as it is closed.  If you printed it before it closed, I imagine it is stale dated by now and likely to be rejected at the post office.

You are very fortunate that they are still accepting the return.

If the label hasn't expired on the ebay page you can still print it but I wouldn't present it at the counter since the dates will be off.

Some clerks look, some don't, some that look don't care and some do. If it fits in a blue box do that.

If not take it to work or something and have a carrier grab it.

I'm confused you filed to early on a 60 day free return?
If the seller got the case closed you really shouldn't do anything with that case at all.
You can't open another case on ebay so if you ship it back & there is no case to prove tracking back to your seller then what ?

You can go to Paypal if that is how you paid & open the return case there

Thanks, I was a bit freaked out in the fear that seller was a scammer as they have mixed feedback.

FYI the Return Service labels themselves do not display any date. If you printed the label, with the seller's permission, it can be mailed and the post office won't object weeks after it was issued, long after the return request itself has expired.
