Packing an Item...poorly

Media Mail.JPG

I can't believe how some sellers pack their items.

Yea, I sell stamps...and I bought these stamps from a buyer.

Buyer used a 4 1/8 X 9 1/2 envelope and just put stamps inside with no protection whatsoever.

And item was listed as 'media mail' in the shipping...is that even allowed?

I sell stamps and never used 'media mail'.

These are International stamps...so they are not cheap.

Is this seller even worth a feedback?

From what I understand media mail to be, that's not in the category. They do look like they arrived in decent shape, even if they weren't protected very well. Did they arrive on time? Some things to consider if you do decide to leave fb. How does the rest of their fb read?

If the stamps arrived as listed, I see no reason for less than positive feedback.  Probably, no feedback, is warranted.

One poorly "packed" item I received was a touch screen android phone that was just slipped into an ordinary brown envelope. Nothing else just phone and envelope.

I was amazed that it was OK. All I could think was why would anyone do that. As already suggested I just didn't bother leaving any feedback.

OK feedback from seller buyers.

Kinda OK timespan no tracking...I always give sellers extra time for shipping...don't want to get on the BBL.

If it was a deal then should I leave a great feedback?

30 International Stamps worth $1.65 each.

Total cost with tax and shipping was $27.70.

Poor packaging is a pet peeve of mine.

My feeling is there should be a star rating for quality of packaging.

If you received them without damage but feel they weren’t packed well….I would just not leave any feedback.

I don’t leave negatives (unless something is very wrong I would) but many times I’ve been underwhelmed with a widget and just chose to not leave positive feedback.

Poor  packaging is a pet peeve of mine too ... probably because I spend way too much time packing my own items.   If it is 'ridiculously' packaged but arrived intact, I may not leave any feedback.  If you are very happy with the purchase, like it was a really great deal, then I might overlook it & leave positive feedback.   Possibly they weren't experienced at selling that particular item.   If it was a one time thing.    If they're a regular seller of that item, then there's no excuse ...

seems that it did not ship MM, so a non-factor in the feedback decision.

Seller has 1.4K items sold with 228 feedbacks so this surprised me.

And they basically sell only these stamps ..it's like where does one even get these to sell over and over.

And here's the kicker...she shows her face on her link...who does that?

Ok, you convinced me.   No feedback then.   😉

I sell books and I once bought a book from a very experienced bookseller with wonderful feedback, especially about the packaging & the packaging was truly awful.   The book wasn't even totally covered.   The book was ok, but I don't think  I could muster it up to leave feedback, as I recall.

I've given neutrals for poor packaging before.

No offense, if they arrived ok, what is the problem? Poor shipping is a pet peeve of mine but if i get what i ordered in the condition as described, i am good.

I think you are over thinking it. IMHO

I’m assuming that you will be using these stamps for postage where they will be on the outside of an envelope with even less protection.  This item arrived in decent enough shape for their intended purpose, on time and for a good price (= positive feedback).

Next thing you know is you’ll order an airmail stamp but the plane will be upside down…then what?
