Hello community I’m having a huge problem and I just need some opinions. So I recently bought a ps5 off a person on eBay and instantly he messaged me saying he needed more money for the shipping so I reluctantly played more though Venmo so that he would ship it.  He messaged me a couple hours later saying he shipped it and that he was trying to figure out how to update ebay. Two hours passed and I got an update from eBay saying it’s being shipped I got a tracking number but when I check it USPS said it had no label. The next day come and the seller messaged me he wasn’t happy ebay takes 12% of the total cost and wast canceling the order and going to the post office to get the package He managed to cancel the order so when I asked for my money back from Venmo he answered hours later saying how the package left in the truck and it’s currently being shipped to my house. I think this is complete nonsense and think he is trolling. I keep checking the packing but it saying that’s it’s not even in transit. He is threading me with calling the police. I just want to know if I’m in any legal danger if the package comes to my house. ( the chances of this even being a possible reality is so slim but in the possible chance that it does I just want to know what the legal problems are in this and I want to know who is in the wrong here like who cancels an order if it’s still being shipped. No one. Someone please lmk

The dude scammed you. There is no package. Say goodbye to the Venmo money. Sorry, man.

Well you can file an Item Not Received claim to at least get back the original sales money. But you have lost the Venmo money.

Going forward, NO seller is allowed to ask for more money after the fact. NEVER comply.

Report them to eBay and leave a nasty detailed negative review. All you can do.
