I dropped a package off on 5-30-17 and the usps clerk didn't even scan my package is it lost because right now it's showing pre shipment and that I never even brought it to the post office what do I do? I will update what has happened a week from now

It's only been two days. Some parcels still don't get scanned until delivery. So I'd relax for now.

When you say "dropped it off," did you wait online and hand it to the Clerk, or left it on the counter? If you left it on the counter, it may not have received the "received" scan and that could be why it has not yet been scanned by USPS. Because I have trust issues, I just wait in line and hand it to the clerk and if I print out the scan sheet I hand them the scan sheet for all the packages at once.
Since it was dropped off on 5/30/17 - it may take a few days for any movement to show. What you can do in the meantimes, is go to the USPS site and enter the tracking number and request email updates on the package. Somehow that seems to work for me and others to keep an eye on the shipment.
Best of luck!

I wouldn't worry about it unless your buyer worries about it. BTW, requesting eMail updates to the status seems to magically "find" it many times.

I had a similar issue. The item went all the way to 'Out for Delivery' then nothing.. I called my local USPS and the clerk told me to file a claim on their site. If USPS finds that the mail carrier did in fact deliver they'd update the status, or if they find the item in their undeliverables bin they'd return it. If it's no where to be found they'll issue a refund. They were fairly quick and I received a refund within 2 days time.
