My pkg is still in the San Jose origination area since Dec 1st. I filled out a form to inquire and was promptly called by my local post office and left vm that it will be a while.
That’s no progress since initial mailing.
For anyone wanting to ship or buy, it’s going to mean lots of patience.

We’ve had several; the latest is an item shipped Priority from TN to NY on 11/30; has sat in local TN USPS distribution center until TODAY (12/11!) and is finally in NY distribution center. Buyer filed an INR earlier this week; eBay was supposed to refund today (expensive item) but hopefully this movement in the system will now prevent that.
On a personal note, all of our packages for gifts purchased here and elsewhere are also running late. The USPS system is a MESS; I understand COVID mixed with holidays is a bad situation, but it should be ALL OVER the news about these delays or many people are going to have no gifts under the tree this year.

Unfortunately it's happening all over the USPS system. Never seen anything close to the fiasco that's going on right now with our USPS packages.

We have one shipped 11/28 from IL, going to Sacramento that is still not delivered, and today is 12/10.

Does anyone know if eBay is doing anything to help the sellers out?

If you go to the top of the page and find Seller News there is an announcement, posted yesterday.
Helping buyers understand shipping delays and what you need to do

The "system" here won't let me post the link.
Thank you for pointing this out, I hadn't seen this message from eBay....

Almost all of my packages shipped by the US Postal Service are very late getting to my buyers the last week or so. I have 1 package sitting for almost 2 weeks at a post office 30 minutes from its destination. Other packages are taking a US tour. I'm in Minnesota and I sent a package to Arizona. 5 days later its in South Carolina. Other packages I sent going from the midwest to the west coast are somehow ending up on the east coast. Its really a pain trying to explain to my buyers this delay.

Hmmm, forgive me but I'm confused.
Do you have a bunch of unreasonable buyers? Seems like if you point out that COVID-19 has ravished the USPS and many sorting centers are short workers. (Maybe USPS is rerouting around those centers to ones that are operational?) Plus because of COVID-19 home based buying is WAY up AND with the Holidays volumes are increased too. It is a system wide cluster. What human can't have some empathy with the situation?

I have quite a few Item not received cases pending, a lot of buyers could care less about this situation, many of them look at it as an opportunity to get free stuff.
this is beyond devastating for me, i currently have 38 packages just sitting in limbo, its only a matter of time until i'm having to refund all of them. This has been keeping me up for days worrying, and eBay doesn't seem to care.
I know eBay made some by the numbers response, but this doesn't really help at all.
Having to refund all my buyers would put me in a financial hole i could not recover from, and its nothing I can control which is upsetting

Buyers don't care, and they blame the seller. There is no reasonable logic. And the worst ones I am finding are other sellers. Rude and demanding. They know better and they are taking advantage of the situation.

Check the tracking now, eBay added a disclaimer of sorts so buyers will be more understanding.

Our long in transit package (from IL to CA), was finally delivered yesterday, 12/10.
