Now I have a question, does the PO still identify package(s) that were mishandled/damaged/empty during shipment? It was not a sale of mine - but the package was delivered on 5/5/17 and the buyer is now contacting my son today that he received "an empty package." I find that hard to believe because I was under the impression that if an item was mishandled/damaged during shipment that USPS used stickers to alert the recipient and due to the delay in contacting the seller.
For the moment, I told him to tell the buyer that he needs to take everything to the PO to file a claim - which I know is virtually useless.
Thanks 🙂

The 'rec'd an empty pkg' seems to have taken on a new life for higher than ever 'buyer scams'. I've sold on ebay for 10 yrs and my friend, who just started selling a year ago and has 100% fb, made a sale. I've been helping and guiding her along as she asks, so when it was time to pkg up this delicate & expensive bracelet, I was there to make sure it was done well. The B made a claim to ebay that she rec'd an empty box and ebay refunded her on the spot. I KNOW the box was not empty when the carrier picked it up, and despite my friend's numerous calls to ebay, they did not take any of her proofs or logical thinking into consideration. They claimed that if the box was empty, the p/o would have identified it as such, as if USPS never makes mistakes and is always on top of such issues.

IKR - it appears like this selling platform is a scammer's paradise and it is a shame. I foolishly re-listed some items back in February and now have to sweat it out until August for returns/chargeback(s). I was bored, so now I'm sewing and making beds for my cats, not like either sleeps in any of them LOL!
