I was overcharged for shipping and can't find a support phone number to eBay or comment on ant of the existing threads about this.
Ebay quoted me $9.80 to ship via Fedex. I printed the shipping label and thought that I would pay the $9.80 at the FedEx. FedEx charged me $24 for packaging and said that eBay would send me a bill for the $9.80. Ebay sent me a bill for $54. I sold the item for $80 and for some reason the seller paid $18 shipping, which I thought was odd, but made me feel like I wasn't getting ripped off to bad by having to pay $24 + $9.80 shipping and handling.
If anyone can help guide me to the right place to talk to someone about this I would appreciate it. Most of the other threads say that people get bounced back and forth between FedEx an eBay and that eBay is the only one that can do anything about it because the FedEx charge was to eBay on their FedEx account.

Yeah, I tried that The number Google provided went to a third party company that was closed.

I'm not trolling ... you asked for a phone number, and I provided it to you. I just called it and it goes to eBay customer service.
Try it again, you may have misdialed it ... or misread it ...
(You're welcome?)

When you got that $9.80 quote, had you listed the exact package dimensions?
Your listing for the motorcycle parts quoted the postage cost to ship a 4-pound package via USPS Priority Mail, not via FedEx.

No. I estimated the package dimensions and after printing the shipping label had it packaged at FedEx.

I am unlear on what actually happened Did you pay eBay to create a shipping label, then pay fedex to create a different shipping label? Is the $54 ebay fee for a shipping label, or for your seller fees?

(a) He purchases FedEx label off eBay based on whatever number he put in (weight, dimensions) ... he does not pay yet, but will be billed on his eBay statement.
(b) His item is packaged at a FedEx retail center ... obviously with weight and dimensions different from what was on eBay.
(c) He slaps his eBay label on this new package
(d) FedEx notes the actual weight and dimensions, and charges his eBay account based on the label he put on the package. The numbers may be wrong, by the way.
(e) His eBay bill shows the now "shocking" price.
If the USPS discovers a shipper shorted postage, they charge the recipient ... FedEx bills the seller via eBay.

Well, that is your problem.
eBay price will not have the charges to have someone else pack your item. The price they give you assumes that you have the package ready to go and are inputting ACTUAL weight and measurements.
Next time pack your item or at least dry pack your item and enter the actual CORRECT weight and CORRECT measurements.
Also, I'll add that eBay doesn't add the many surcharges that FedEx can tack onto a package.

Name one of the surcharges not added.

Residential surcharge is just one of the surcharges eBay doesn't add into their estimates.

Of course FedEx charged you extra to package it. eBay assumes you already packed it. After FedEx packaged it, it would have weighed more and the dimensions would have increased.

I would imagine residential, signature and delivery area would be the ones most common for an Ebay sale. $67.50 oversize charge, ouch!

Remote delivery, pick-up charge. Not sure about the rest as I will not use FedEx.
